20th Annual Business Arts Awards Given
The Arts Council saluted the recipients of this year’s Business/Arts Awards at the Mary D’Angelo Performing Arts Center, on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2008. The awards honor members of the business and arts community for their contributions to the arts.
The 20th Annual Business/Arts awards were presented to: The Black Family Fund (Business Appreciation Award), Susan Kemenyffy (Arts Service Award), Stairways Behavioral Health and Scott and Kim McClelland (Applause Awards).
The awards were created by local woodturner, Bill Hess, and the presentation featured a violin performance by Abby Badach. Hess and Badach are two of the faces of the United Arts Fund Drive. Pfeiffer-Burleigh students also performed, having completed an Arts Council residency with One World Tribe.
The event was sponsored by Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield.
